Terms of Service

The service

Crate Lenz identifies vinyl records from photos and helps you catalog, price, and manage your collection. It is currently a beta: features may change, break, or be removed, and identification and pricing are best-effort estimates — always use your own judgment before buying or selling a record.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and use the app only for lawful purposes. You're responsible for activity on your account. Free accounts include a monthly scan quota, which may change during the beta. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (automated scraping, attempting to access other users' data, or flooding the APIs we depend on).

Your content

Photos you upload and data you save stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them solely to provide the service (for example, sending a label photo to our image-analysis providers to read it).

Third-party services

Release data and images are courtesy of Discogs; this application uses the Discogs API but is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by Discogs. ‘Discogs’ is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC. Price comparisons use eBay data. Actions you take on connected accounts (like adding to your Discogs collection) are governed by those services' own terms.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the app — including misidentified pressings, pricing inaccuracies, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (during the free beta: zero).

Ending things

You can stop using Crate Lenz any time and ask us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy). We may discontinue the beta with reasonable notice to account holders.
